WebJun 16, 2014 · Clutch has two wires one red and one blue. The red wire has power as soon as the key is turned on. The blue has power when you pull the pto switch. I used an ohm meter to check the clutch and it read 3.4 ohms, which i believe means the clutch is ok. WebNov 14, 2012 · Then start the mower and see if the clutch is still engaged. WebJun 28, 2012 · You aren't very clear in your first post if the switch is doing anything...you make it sound like it doesn't do anything and there is always power to the clutch. Is that what you meant? Put you multimeter on the 'ohms' setting and measure between the clutch coil wire and ground. The PTO clutch should have a resistance of 4 ohms or so. WebMay 31, 2024 · 1.
