The noise is not constant, but seems to be worse later in the day. I live some way away from the exchange, and the phone lines are very definitely exposed, and old. WebIf not, unplug and then re-plug the cord at both ends. Check your phone cords for damage. Even small nicks and cuts can cause noise on your line. Replace any damaged cords.
